Air Macau Launches Self-Service Check-In 2013/10/28

1.     At 14:00, 25th September 2013, Air Macau launches Common Use Self-Service Check-in Kiosk in Macau International Airport.

 

2.     Common Use Self-Service Check in Kiosk (CUSS), is International Air Transport Association (IATA) simplifies the business projects and introduces one of new operational targets – “Fast Travel” in recent years.  Air Macau operates “Self Check-in” service is in accordance with the standards of IATA’s, and it strengthens the process of airport check-in, provides the passengers be more convenient and shortens the check-in time at the uttermost.  

 

3.     There is only 4 steps to complete the self-service check-in :
1.     Enter the e-ticket number and passenger surname
2.     Information verification
3.     Select Seat
4.     2D bar code electronic boarding pass printing

5.     On behalf of Air Macau, Mr. Yang expressed heartfelt gratitude to Macau International Airport Company Limited, Administration of Airports Limited and Menzies Macau Airport Services Limited for supporting the Self Check-in project.  Mr. Yang believed, with the support of the same industry partners, Air Macau will continue to achieve a higher goal that proceeds the whole process of passenger’s “Self Check-in” service advocated by IATA and provide more and more convenient and high quality service to the passengers.

Brief introduction of Self-service Check in

 
The 1st phase implementation of self-service check-in Kiosk is limited to those passengers without check-in baggage.

 

The self-service check-in Kiosk provide in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and English versions.

In order to achieve the service standard of Aviation industry and the business needs, after the launching of Web check-in in last November, Air Macau is pleased to announce that the self-service check-in Kiosk will be launched today.

 

Self-service check-in Kiosk is slightly different from the traditional way of check-in by a service agent at airport check-in counter.

This new service greatly not only facilitates passenger travel, but also reduces the time of waiting for check-in at the airport.

 

Passenger arrive at the airport, by using the self-service check-in Kiosk, on-screen prompts to confirm personal information, select seat, ultimately the 2D bar code electronic boarding pass will be printed out automatically.

 

There is only 4 steps to complete the self-service check-in :
1.     Enter the e-ticket number and passenger surname

4.     2D bar code electronic boarding pass printing

Important Notice:

 

1.         Self-service check-in Kiosk service is available for passengers holding a valid e-ticket on Air Macau operated routes, with confirmed bookings and e-ticket issued with ticket number starting with 675.

 

2.         Self-service check-in Kiosk service is available at least 2 (two) hours before flight departure,  and will be closed at 50 (fifty) minutes before departure.

 

3.        Self-service check-in Kiosk service is NOT applicable for GROUP booking check-in and for special service passenger (including infant, Unaccompanied Minors, Young Passenger, Incapacitated passengers, passengers require Medical Assistance, tickets with additional payment require and those who requires special assistances).

 

4.        Passenger shall present all exit, entry, health and other documents required by laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of the countries concerned, and permit Air Macau to take and retain copies thereof. Air Macau reserves the right to refuse carriage of any passenger who has not complied with applicable laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements or whose documents do not appear to be in order, or who does not permit Air Macau to take and retain copies thereof.

 

5.        Passenger can select preferred seat available on the interactive seat map. For passenger have been requested special services for a seat in advance, modify will be unable.  If need to modify prior to departure of scheduled flight, please contact Air Macau counter for assistance. In case of flight irrgularities, passenger seat may be re-arranged.

 

6.       The self-service check-in Kiosk will NOT perform for handling Ticket purchasingFlight Re-bookingUpgrading and Refund functions.
