ICBC (Macau) and Air Macau Signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to Seek for Win-Win between Bank and Enterprises 2012/06/11




Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony between Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited and Air Macau Company Limited was held at Function Room, Mandarin Oriental Macau on June 8, 2012.  Mr. Simon Chan Weng Hong, President of Civil Aviation Authority of Macau SAR,
Mr. Gao Shang De, Deputy Director of Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macau SAR, Mr. Song Yanbin, Acting Commissioner of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Macau Special Administrative Region, Mr. Xu Kai Cheng, President of The Macau Chinese Enterprises Association and Mr. Li Jinlin, General Manager of CNAC (Macau) and other guests attended the event to be witness for signing the agreement. Senior management of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited and Air Macau Company Limited also attended the signing ceremony.

Both parties will have further financing cooperation such as aviation finance, points exchange, co-branded cards cooperation, financing businesses for VIP customers, and employees’ financial business aspects.

Air Macau Company Limited is a Macau-based airline, so far, the company operates 14 aircrafts, transports 18 cities among mainland China, Taiwan and Asia-Pacific, operates weekly round trip flights to 280, passengers exceeded 1.8 million annually.  Air Macau allies with Air China, ANA All Nippon Airways, Korean Air, Philippine Airlines performing a code-share operation, meanwhile, achieves cross-industry cooperation with Ctrip, China Trust Bank and Bank of China, exceeds 200,000 frequent flyers. Air Macau has successfully performed strategic transformation and completed the equity of restructuring shareholding under Macau SAR of the People’s Republic of China, as well as obtained highly support and help from shareholders to achieve profit record for these two years in a row.

The signing of strategic cooperation agreement marks ICBC (Macau) and Air Macau have entered a new phase, both sides penetrated into a comprehensive, in-depth bank-enterprise strategic partnership, sincere cooperation, resource sharing, complementary advantages, strength the combined win-win situation is taken sharply, helps to promote healthy development of Macau's financial industry and the aviation industry, to boost Macau's economic prosperity and growth.
