Effective 08 Dec 1995, Air Macau commenced operation from Macau to Taipei and thus opened up an opportunity for cargo transportation between Taiwan and China via Macau. Thereafter, we have increased our flights and our cargo tonnage to improve service quality. We focused highly on the Taiwan and China markets by providing a one-plane service across the Straits. This product ultimately saves transfer time and avoids any cargo mishandling.

In Oct 2002, Air Macau started freighter services from Taipei to Shenzhen via Macau. In Apr 2004, Taipei to Shanghai service using an AB4 freighter aircraft was added to the schedule. In the following month, in May 2004, Air Macau started services from Taipei to Macau and subsequently, in Jun 2004, Taipei to Xiamen services were commenced. The freighter service enhanced cargo transportation across the Strait by providing more space to carry cargo between Taiwan to S.E. and Southern China. This enlarged Air Macau’s cargo service network to satisfy customers’ expectation for a fast and reliable air service. This is a step forward for cargo transportation in Macau.
